One of the hardest things I find as a Londoner is a good pair of fashionable shoes to get me through the day. Being such a big city, walking is a must, so looking chic and being comfortable at the same time is never an easy feat! I fell in love with Moda in Pelle’s new autumn-winter collection, which offers an array of elegant, edgy and simple wearable pieces to fill up your shoe rack this season.
As I’m a bit of a shoe-queen myself, I jumped at the opportunity to shoot a London-inspired story for Moda in Pelle‘s AW15 range. I chose a selection of four pairs of shoes which I believe reflected a day in the life of a Londoner, so am very excited to share this story with you all. From the elegant heeled-loafers, to the cobalt blue ankle boots, these four pairs will tick all your city-girl boxes.
A day living in Moda in Pelle would start off with breakfast in your bright blue Laurita booties, strolling down West-London, latte-to-go from Aubaine in tow. You get four-seasons in one day here in London, so you have to be ready for whatever the clouds might throw at you. Paired with an elegant lace white skirt, this London lady is set to hit the city.
It’s lunchtime and you find yourself at The Book Club in edgy Shoreditch, surrounded by world-class graffiti. London is unbelievably eclectic in terms of street style, which is one of the things I love most about it. From West to East, you almost feel like you’re in another city. If I were in Shoreditch, I would probably slip on a pair of those rave-tastic Enola‘s to give my look that graffiti edge.
After-work drinks, anyone? It’s time for a good glass of red. You aren’t quite ready to hit the town just yet, but with these elegant heeled Carlettas, you’re half-way there! Combining these with a pair of bright cut-off chinos, gives your look that working girl twist. You pop open a bottle of vino over at Compagnie des Vins in Seven Dials, getting yourself ready for wherever the evening might take you….
…which ends up being a night on the town in good old Soho! With your Luiza ankle-boots on, you shimmy down the streets in style. It’s time for a cocktail and a boogie, where to go? None other than the Theatre Arts Club; a hidden-away little corner serving cocktails in teacups – perfect – the ideal start to your night and a wonderful way to finish to four stylish London moments with Moda in Pelle.
