Christmas, as we all know, is right around the corner. As I’m a bit of a fanatic when it comes to all things Christmassy, I’m not quite ready to embrace the sparkles and songs quite just yet – give me a couple of weeks and it will be full-force Christmas right here on the blog! I do, however, love watching little corners of the city slowly transition into their festive groove.
Following a successful photo shoot session, Joanne and I discovered the Forest Café in Selfridges upon our quest for a good coffee on Oxford Street. As we’re both coffee-snobs, we like to find those little independent hide-outs (preferably with marble table tops and white-washed floors), so we took a chance hoping that the Selfridges rooftop cafe was open. Much to our delight we stepped into a cosy world of tartan blankets, fairy lights and of course delicious coffee. Could a place be more perfect?
So, if you’re looking for a festive but warm watering-hole to break up your Oxford Street shopping marathon, take a little detour to the Selfridges rooftop terrace. You’ll get that much needed break from all the madness, whilst being teleported back to your front-room fireplace. The only downside is that I’m not sure how easy it will be to leave behind the blankets and cosy chairs to get back to your shopping!
