Winter fashion usually consists of dark tones and rich textures, taking a more serious approach to how we dress. I love these pictures I recently shot with Mariko, from Silk and Suits, simply because of the fun, light and colourful spark her outfit adds to this season’s current cosy vibe. With a main colour palette of reds and oranges, she cleverly and tastefully adds a bit of print clash to the look. A madly colour Red Valentino bag worn with leopard courts, who would’ve thought, but it really works!
We shot these images on the streets of the City of London, Bank, which are usually rammed with armies of suits marching to work. On the weekend, however, London’s financial district is somewhat of a ghost town. I love walking the empty streets, enjoying a pavement all to myself, and appreciating the amazing architecture that surrounds me. It has a slight New York feel to it, the perfect backdrop to add something different to your Saturday morning stroll in London town.
