Floral, floaty and just downright fabulous – in other words, Matthew Williamson’s latest spring collection (which I am head over heels in love with)!
Last week, I spent a gorgeous morning with the team at the suave Blake Hotel in the heart of South Kensington to shoot the current MW range. From floor-length gowns (to die for) to short, playful silk numbers, we truly had a dream rail to shoot with – I didn’t even know where to start! Those of you who know me will know I’m a sucker for anything that involves flowers and colour so these dresses really tapped into my personal fashion aesthetic.
Following on from our festive shoot in December, our task was to snap as many of the latest pieces for their website and social media accounts, so we had a lot to get through (but who would mind spending a morning getting lost in a rail of pretty dresses?!) Initially, the day started off grey and rainy, but thankfully for us the weather had other ideas and blue skies and sunshine arrived, yippee! We put some looks on the street, by mews houses and of course in the courtyard of the elegant hotel. I personally fell in love with their huge bird cage corner, which Matthew Williamson will be decorating for their summer season (with lots of flowers I suspect!) so look out for that opening soon!
It was such fun working with the MW team, so big thanks to Rosanna, Anisa, Gabi and our professional model for the morning, lovely Sabina. I can’t wait to see what the next collection will be like, but for now I’m going to dream about when I can get my hands on one of these beauties….
