Jewel Street

It’s the time of year when the leaves turn beautiful fiery shades and your evenings start to get that little bit more cosy. As I begin to pull out my woolly scarves my mind turns to how I can add a little golden touch to my winter looks. With some help from the fabulous people at Jewel Street, I’ve made my own little edit of jewellery I think will brighten up your autumn accessories.

My personal go-metal for jewellery has to be gold. I used to be a silver girl but one summer in Greece I discovered the elegance of gold jewellery and have never gone back. Rose gold is a huge trend at the moment and the perfect halfway shade between gold and silver, as another suggestion of your jewellery options. Regardless of what metal you prefer, bold accessories are the style accents that will be noticeable under your dark, wintry layers, adding a hint of festive glamour with Christmas not far away.

When Jewel Street approached me to create a mini-edit of some of their pieces, I couldn’t wait to get stuck in. What I love about their website is how they give independent jewellery designers a platform to show and sell their creations, as well as giving us, the customers, exciting and unique jewellery inspiration to choose from. Browsing through their site I was spoilt for choice with so many amazing designs at various price points. They even create their own online edits of their collections so you can find jewellery which perfectly matches your style aesthetic.

For my edit, I decided to go for an eclectic array of pieces which could be worn on a variety of occasions. The first piece I selected was a stunning pair of Alexandra Alberta Malachite green and gold earrings you can see in the first photo above. I decided to pair these with a lace green dress, the perfect combination for upcoming festivities in the run up to Christmas. I love the elegance of them, how they can be worn with a cosy camel jumper but dressed up with a LBD.

My second choice was a ring and earring combo by Sarah Ho – their ornate design would look fabulous paired with a black or red roll-neck jumper, skinny jeans and over the knee boots: the perfect evening winter look when you’re sipping on some delicious mulled wine…

Next on the list would be the 18ct gold feather pendant by Dower & Hall. I love feather-shaped jewellery and just adored how delicate this particular piece was. Throw this on over any of your winter woolies and automatically dress up your everyday outfit. And once spring arrives, this is a gorgeous necklace to add your summer wardrobe when the warmer temperatures return!

Finally, I always love a pair of gold hoops that I can throw on as I’m running out of the house. I loved this pair by H.Azeem with a touch of blue glitter, perfect for the festive season. I never say no to a little glam and this is just enough to add some sparkle to your frosty days.

I hope my edit gave you a little inspo for your accessories this season. Never underestimate the power of stunning jewellery – amazing pieces can truly transform your look. If you’re ever having a wardrobe crisis, opt for a simple look but go all out on accessories… you’ll feel more than fabulous!
