Christmas is coming, it’s so close you can almost smell it. Well, I can smell Christmas everywhere at least; the mulled wine, the orange potpourri, the fresh mince pies, the sweet smell of winter (albeit that we’ve had a rather mild winter this year). I walk around with my eyes wide open, taking in all the beauty of the elegantly decorated streets. It’s such a romantic time of year… I wish the festivities would never end, or that they lasted throughout these dark months so the sparkles and lights could get us through to the blossom of spring.
One of my favourite things to do in the lead up to Christmas is visit all the best spots in London for the most beautiful decorations. From Fortnum & Mason, to the White Company, each and every shop boasts their own take on Christmas. Each year, my mum, nana and I purchase one special Christmas decoration each, so our trees our decked up head to toe in colours, sparkles and most importantly, memories.
